The Belfast Softball Club was founded by Carrie Trundle in 2007. We currently count more than 25 registered members and have regular training sessions during the summer season (end of March - End of August). In 2008 the Softball Ulster league was formed with games played most Monday nights, there will be six teams participating in the 2012 season.
As softball is a new sport in Belfast an open day was organised in March 2007, to show people the game http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sport/local-heroes/article2378860.ece. After this successful event we formed the Belfast Softball club.
In July 2007 and 2008 we received sponsorship for one of our teams, the Belfast Brawlers, from Schrader Electronics Ltd. Schrader is a local company based in Northern Ireland.
