Belfast Softball Club Open day Sunday 29th March 2009

No better way to start spring than the Belfast Softball Club open day, sponsored by Schrader Electronics, at Henry Jones playing fields.
The day started bright and this was an obvious encouragement to players both old and new to dust down gloves and gather for the annual open day. It was great to see so many familiar faces back and with new faces reaching double figures it shows how much the game of softball is growing within Belfast. The day consisted of three main stations batting, pitching and catching.
Special thanks must go to those who lead the stations and put everyone through their paces. The ‘business’ part of the day finished with a game giving everyone the opportunity to practice what he or she learnt.
Something tells me some members have been practicing during the winter!
Softball wouldn’t be softball if we all didn’t head to the pub after a hard session.

Hopefully this successful day will be what is in store for Schrader's Belfast Softball Club this season.
